KNOW YOUR DJ – CED NADA

Ced Nada

Pronounced Sed Nuh-duh but known under a couple of other monickers. By all reports from you; this guy knows how to command a dance floor. His music collection is MASSIVE and his tastes are well and truly in every flavoured pie – he’s on the pulse of every new bumping sound and when I want new music, I trust in him.

Here’s an insight into this cheeky gent:

Age: Old enough to have gone bald.

Where were you born and raised?: In reality, Canberra.  In my dreams, somewhere inside the consciousness of Sun-Ra.

How long have you been Djing?: A long long time on radio before transitioning to the bars and clubs in the last few years.

Tell us about your first DJ set: There t’was many rookie mistake and inappropriate song played.

What’s your favourite music?: Depends on the time of day and mood of mind, but as a self confessed music nerd, a little bit of anything and everything would be the fairest response.

You’re in the middle of set, what’s your late night drink choice?: Cerveza

What are your ‘flagship’ songs at KB?: Tings like Monch ‘Simon Says’, Toni Braxton ‘You’re Making Me High’ and Rene & Angela ‘I Love You More’.  Any song can become a ‘flagship’ tune when deployed at the right moment!

Most triumphant moment behind the decks?: When the open palm met the face.

Have you got a funny/irritating customer moment?:  Yesp, there’s a new one at the end of every night!

When you’re not behind the turntables, where can we find you?: Working for the man, twerking my green thumbs or spending time with family and friends.

Hobbies/Sports/Obsessions?: Mostly music, but I’m also known to frequent the cinema and fine food outlets.

If you could do a set with anyone in the world (dead or alive) who would it be?: Pat Cash.

Favourite colour?: They are all delightful.

Where would you like to see yourself in 10 years time?: On the moon with Sir Richard Branson.

Tell us something random in 50 words or less:

I’ll leave that to Bowie, for he always says it best – “The sun machine is coming down, and we’re gonna have a party.”
